Besides being an athlete in high school and college, Don Worth has seen both sides of working with the student-athlete – the coaching side and the academic side. Worth has served as a coach for both the Hobbs, NM, and Brownfield, TX, public school systems as either head baseball coach or assistant football coach. In addition, he served 12 years as the Building Principal for Seminole High School and Junior High.

As an athlete in high school, Worth was named to the Athletic Hall of Fame at Carlsbad High School, and named All-State Football and All-State Baseball. He went on to play baseball for Lubbock Christian University, which earned him the title of All-Conference Catcher for an impressive two years in a row. Worth’s passion for athletics also applies to the athletes themselves. He takes time to get to know student-athletes on a personal basis and credits them as the reason for his being at New Mexico Junior College.

Worth holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Health and Physical Education from Lubbock Christian along with a Master of Administration from Eastern New Mexico University. He and his wife Jackie have been married 31 years and have a daughter, Jennifer, married to Donald King; and a son, Drew, married to Crystal. They are also the proud grandparents of one grandson, Teaguen King.
