Hicks Selected to All-Region Team

Hobbs, NM – New Mexico Junior College men’s basketball player Dequan Hicks was selected to the NJCAA Region V All-Region Team.  Hicks, a 6’7’’ sophomore from Racine, WI was also voted to the Western Junior College (WJCAC) Athletic Conference All-Conference team for the second straight year. 

Hicks’ 12.5 points and 7 rebounds per game helped lead the Thunderbirds to a 23-9 record and a second place finish in the WJCAC.  As one of the top power forwards in the region, Hicks helped NMJC make its first appearance in the Region V Tournament since 1998.
