Lady T-Birds Begin Quest for Regional Title

The New Mexico Junior College Women’s Basketball team will square off against Collin County College in the first round of the NJCAA Region 5 Championship. The Lady Thunderbirds earned their first playoff berth in almost ten years with a third place finish in the conference. The regional tournament will be held at Lubbock Christian University in Lubbock, TX. The T-Birds’ firstround game is on Friday, March 5th at Noon. A win will put them in the semifinal game Saturday at 7:00PM. All games will be broadcasted live over the internet.
